Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

Dolphin, Inc. seeks an Industrial Mechanic to keep all production machines, systems, and equipment in optimal operating condition. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, assisting production operators with machine setup, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.

Shift

This is a full-time position (40 hours a week). Shifts are Monday through Thursday from 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical equipment, including large gas-fired equipment, boilers, HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and control systems.
• Develop, fabricate, and install changes to machines as needed to improve operational performance or correct deficiencies.
• Complete all maintenance service requests as assigned.
• Install electrical conduit, air, and chilled water piping for machinery and equipment.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance inspections to identify and correct equipment malfunctions, repairs, and replacements.
• Provide assistance to assemble, test, and maintain company equipment.
• Propose improvements to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
• Able to adapt to various maintenance situations and work in all major production areas in a maintenance capacity.
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Follow and ensure compliance with quality system.
• Full-time position requiring regular and consistent attendance.
• Other duties may be assigned by Management.

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities, and Expectations

• Knowledge and ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of industrial machines.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills.
• Read and understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic system prints and schematics.
• Understanding of metal fabrication processes: sheet metal, machining, welding.
• Ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
• Knowledge and ability to use small hand tools.
• Proficient in quality of work and completing work in a timely manner.
• Dependable with minimal response time.
• Knowledge and ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Good working relationships with co-workers.
• Adhere to company security regulations and protect company property.
• Intermediate level of computer literacy, including MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel; and Internet browsers.
• Own hand tools, multi-meter, and cart/toolbox.
