Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Assistant

Responsibilities

• Aid Maintenance Mechanics with routine maintenance tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and production equipment.
• Identify and report equipment issues or unusual machine operations.
• Gather tools, materials, and replacement parts as needed.
• Clean, inspect, lubricate, and maintain equipment as directed.
• Document completed maintenance activities as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous mechanical experience is a plus but not required.
• Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Positive attitude and excellent attendance required.
• Ability to get along with fellow workers, other tradesmen on the job, inspectors, customers, and the public.
• Able to carry up to 50 pounds.
• Properly use safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Primarily performs work both indoors and outdoors in all/extreme weather conditions.
• Requires physical activity including extended periods of standing and walking, frequent sitting, kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching, stooping, and climbing.
• Requires the ability to frequently lift and/or carry materials and/or supplies and other materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional lifting and/or carrying of materials and/or supplies weighing up to 100 lbs.
