Industrial Maintenance Mechanic 2nd Shift
About the role
We're seeking an industrial maintenance mechanic to support a busy manufacturing facility. Must enjoy troubleshooting, working independently and have strong technical skills. This person may specialize in one or more of the following areas but should have general knowledge in all: mechanical, electrical, electronics, HVAC, and hydraulics.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance
- Lubricate and clean parts and equipment
- Repairs and maintains equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturers’ specifications using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments
- Examine form and texture to parts to detect imperfections
- May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
- Apply basic electrical knowledge to test electrical equipment to determine causes for malfunction such as motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principals
- Complete training on new and existing equipment
Requirements
Three or more years’ related experience in industrial maintenance roles that includes familiarity with: hydraulics, mechanical, electrical machine control and/or PLCs welding/metal fabrication manufacturing environment maintenance tools and equipment
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair industrial equipment
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally
Computer skills – able to navigate various software, including manufacturing software and maintenance tracking systems
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be a US Person (meets ITAR/EAR requirements)
- Preferred Two-year technical degree or vocational training in industrial maintenance
- Experience with: metal forming equipment including bending, cutting or roll forming
- Project experience including new equipment installations

Computer skills – able to navigate various software, including manufacturing software and maintenance tracking systems

Typical schedule will be 2nd shift is Monday to Thursday 3:00PM-1:30AM
Eligible for 2nd shift shift premium of $1/hour

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and talk or hear.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
