Industrial Maintenance Mechanic- 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Completes preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines.
• Follows diagrams, sketches, electrical schematics, hydraulic schematic, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and examining form and texture of parts.
• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, plus 4-6 years of progressive related work experience.
• An active Journeyman license and maintain for continued employment.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance and technical understanding.
• Knowledge and understanding of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and requirements.
• Knowledge of Safety Rules and Procedures.
• Knowledge and understanding of equipment maintenance and technical understanding.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Self-starter with excellent organizational skills.
• Able to follow deadlines and work under pressure.
• Able to manage deadlines with conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Successfully pass an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic test, a background check, including criminal history, drug screen, physical, audiogram, and vision test.
