Responsibilities
- Demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, general shop practices, maintenance tasks, and thorough knowledge of support equipment and operational sequencing
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical welding, gas welding and cutting, soldering, pipe fittings, and metal fabrication (milling and lathe)
- Identify and inspect mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
- Rebuild mechanical drive components such as clutches and brakes
- Verify and correct mechanical timing
- Perform proper component lubrication and conduct preventive maintenance on specific equipment
- Identify mechanical wear and troubleshoot/replace mechanical drive and conveyor components
- Identify, wire, and troubleshoot electrical components
- Replace and troubleshoot servo drives, motor controls (motor starters), and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Identify and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) components and hardware
- Troubleshoot control wiring and update electrical and mechanical schematics
- Train for supervision role: shadow running a shift, SAP and reporting, critical process inspections, and preventive maintenance (PM) work verification of technicians
- Provide coverage for supervisor PTO
- Inspect shop (daily plant walk-through), ensuring cleanliness and shift readiness; delegate tasks to technicians as needed
- Demonstrate teamwork, communicate with empathy, and display accountability
- Practice learned knowledge of environmental and maintenance programs
- Maintain clean and safe work environment
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Possess or attain licenses required for working with boilers, refrigeration components, and other job-related equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; Technical/Trade School certification or diploma is a plus
- 2+ years of experience as a technician with demonstrated knowledge in industrial electrical wiring, PLC troubleshooting, motor control, equipment repair, and installation
Pay
$36.92–$37.72 per hour
