Industrial Maintenance Intern (Manufacturing)

Key Responsibilities

• Aid in organizing and managing inventory across various areas such as the maintenance storeroom, VMI room, mix plant warehouse mezzanine, and other designated areas.
• Support the execution of large-scale inventory and organizational projects.
• Contribute to the development of Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) for Preventive Maintenance (PM) and routine repairs and rebuilds performed during plant shutdowns.
• Accurately enter data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Microsoft Excel.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure the accuracy and consistency of documentation.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment while performing tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field; second-year standing or higher.
• Coursework in mechanical systems, maintenance practices, or related technical areas preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow direction and work independently.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn the CMMS system.
• Ability to perform hands-on tasks in a maintenance environment (majority of tasks will involve dirty or physically demanding work).
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and eagerness to learn.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
