Job Description
- Troubleshoot using electrical schematics and multimeter/megger to diagnose electrical issues.
- Properly size components and cabling for new electrical systems.
- Reads and understands wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits; IO’s, OL’s, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components.
- Maintain, install, troubleshoot VFDs, programmable sensors, SCADA, HMI, and PLCs.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and augers.
- Test malfunctioning machinery, identify parts needed and complete repairs.
- Repair, install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pressure issues, large cylinders, sensors, proportional valves, solenoids & pumps.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Document and perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment dependability.
Qualifications
- 3 + years’ experience working in Electromechanics, Industrial Electrician or relevant field.
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance working with both electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting electrical components; IOs, OL’s, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC, and 4-20mA systems.
- Able to use multi-meter, megger, and other test equipment.
- Experienced in heavy industrial mechanical repairs; rigging, welding & fabrication preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting/set up of VFD drives; SEW drives, Siemen, Lenze, & Allen Bradley.
- Proficient with use of power tools, measuring devices, lathe and/or milling machinery.

Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
- Must be able to closely inspect and continually monitor all machines in the production process.
- Regularly required to move throughout the facility.
- Frequent reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing, and smelling.
- Sometimes required to remain stationary, ascend and descend steps and ladders, and position self in tight spaces.
