Job Description
- Troubleshoot using electrical schematics and multimeter/megger to diagnose electrical issues
- Properly size components and cabling for new electrical systems
- Reads and understand wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits; IO’s, OL’s, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components
- Maintain, install, troubleshoot VFDs, programmable sensors, SCADA, HMI, and PLCs.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and augers.
- Test malfunctioning machinery, identify parts needed and complete repairs
- Repair, install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pressure issues, large cylinders, sensors, proportional valves, solenoids & pumps
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
- Document and perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment dependability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3 + years’ experience working in Industrial Maintenance or relevant field.
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance working with both electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Proficient in troubleshooting electrical components; IOs, OLs, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC, and 4-20mA systems
- Able to use multi-meter, megger, and other test equipment
- Experienced in heavy industrial mechanical repairs; rigging, welding & fabrication preferred
- Experience troubleshooting/set up of VFD drives; SEW drives, Siemen, Lenze, & Allen Bradley
- Proficient with use of power tools, measuring devices, lathe and/or milling machinery
