Industrial Maintenance Electrician

About the role

Poly-America, L.P., a leading plastics manufacturer, seeks an Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join the Maintenance Department. This role involves working in a manufacturing maintenance team, maintaining equipment to OEM specifications, including safety systems, and performing tasks such as inspecting, troubleshooting, replacing, repairing worn or failed parts, and installing electrical upgrades and new/relocated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, replace, repair worn or failed parts
• Install electrical upgrades
• Install new or relocated equipment
• Additional responsibilities and opportunities as assigned by management

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience in industrial maintenance electrical work in a manufacturing environment
• Aptitude and desire to work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures
• Able to work from verbal or written instructions with a strong desire to be hands-on with work and follow policies and procedures
• Aptitude and desire to be a good student of Poly-America processes, equipment, and procedures
• Problem-solving skills including troubleshooting of electrical equipment
• Working knowledge of OSHA lock out/tag out regulations
• Knowledge and practical use of basic electrical tools and meters

Qualifications

Successfully passing a drug screen is required for this position.
