Industrial Maintenance Electrician

About the role

Performs as an Electrician installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing industrial equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls. This position does not require travel.

Responsibilities

• Wire panels, install, wire, inspect, and test electrical components and systems.
• Build and dismantle electrical machinery.
• Replace faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems; troubleshoot as necessary.
• Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.
• Run cables and wires to engineering specifications.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Inspect completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes.
• Other duties as assigned to support the department and business operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience in manufacturing.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Vocational/Technical training in electrical procedures preferred.
• Journeyman Electrician preferred, but experience will be considered in lieu of certification.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Understands and follows NFPA 70 (National Electric Code).
• Manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay

$29–33 hourly wage.
