  • Hrs: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (No weekends)

Position Purpose

We value the safety of our associates! The Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician keeps our associates safe by maintaining all equipment inside the warehouses/buildings and ensuring it meets industry standards and operates efficiently according to its specific tasks. The Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities. Performs general electrical and/or repairs of and various equipment on company premises. Conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required. Maintains all equipment necessary to perform work.

Job Description: Performs Preventative Maintenance

  • Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment
  • Troubleshoot/Repair Trailers, Restraint Devices, Dock leveling ramps, Dock Doors
  • Read and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals
  • Determine and correct mechanical problems
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them- checking blueprints, repair manuals- or parts catalogs- as necessary
  • Work directly with production associates and management to problem-solve and correct production issues that will ensure maximum production efficiencies
  • Observe mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble
  • Investigate electrical and mechanical equipment failures and develop action plans to eliminate repetitive failures
  • Using the M-pulse Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) -Initiates purchase order for parts and machines and creates and documents hours worked on applicable work orders
  • Weld- perform sheet metal work and employ basic shop floor skills (lathe- drill press grinder- and other metalworking tools)
  • Install- move- and relocate machinery/equipment according to blueprints and other drawings
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental policies- procedures and compliance programs
  • Work toward achieving an injury free environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
