Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid in leading maintenance employees
- Evaluate and determine activities and materials needed for equipment repair
- Create preventative maintenance schedules for all production/facility equipment and ensure adherence
- Plan resource requirements and work activities needed to complete equipment repairs and preventative maintenance
- Generate maintenance work orders as needed
- Lead efforts to ensure maintenance technicians' time is used effectively
- Track status of all open work orders and provide updates to Maintenance Manager
- Lead and enforce all safety and compliance standards, correct hazards, and ensure all team members follow OSHA, company policies, and required safety procedures at all times
- Perform other work-related duties and tasks as assigned by Maintenance Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Assume the role of Supervisor in the absence of the Maintenance Manager; includes handling vacation requests, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
Qualifications
- Knowledge of all functions of the Maintenance department
- Understanding of production/facility equipment functions and department routines
- Demonstrated ability to delegate work, motivate maintenance personnel, and follow-up to job completion
- Monday - Friday, 7am - 4:30pm work schedule with overtime and 24/7 on-call capabilities based on business needs
- Full onsite role
- Ability to commute daily into our Brownsville, TN plant
- Knowledge and experience reading hydraulics and electrical prints
- Leverage of Lean manufacturing and CMMS experience
- Experience with preventative maintenance, PLC, and robotics
- Hands-on, organized, and safety-focused
- High School Diploma or equivalent and Trade School certification preferred
- 2 to 5 years’ maintenance experience and prior leadership roles in a manufacturing maintenance environment
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent and Trade School certification preferred
- 2 to 5 years’ maintenance experience and prior leadership roles in a manufacturing maintenance environment
Physical Demands
- Must be able to do some climbing on machines
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds
- Must be able to stand/walk for extended amounts of time
Work Environment
- General factory
- Exposed to heat, cold, noise, dust, oil/grease, and traveling powered industrial vehicles
