About the role
The City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department seeks an Industrial Electrician to join their team at the Well Fields. The position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the option to transition to a four-day, ten-hour schedule.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment supporting water treatment plant operations and associated infrastructure involving process-controlled industrial equipment.
- Operate and maintain water treatment plant operations and associated infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
- Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program.
- 3 years of journey-level electrician experience.
- A Journeyman Electrician Certification upon hire or promotion.
- A valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Prior wastewater or water experience is desired but not required.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include:
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalency;
- Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program;
- 3 years of journey-level electrician experience;
- A Journeyman Electrician Certification upon hire or promotion;
- A valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record;
- A valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

Schedule
