Industrial Journeyman Electrician

About the role

The City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department seeks an Industrial Electrician to join their team at the Well Fields. The position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the option to transition to a four-day, ten-hour schedule.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment supporting water treatment plant operations and associated infrastructure involving process-controlled industrial equipment.
• Operate and maintain water treatment plant operations and associated infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
• Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program.
• 3 years of journey-level electrician experience.
• A Journeyman Electrician Certification upon hire or promotion.
• A valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Prior wastewater or water experience is desired but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include:
• A High School Diploma or GED equivalency;

• A Journeyman Electrician Certification upon hire or promotion;
• A valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record;
• A valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

Schedule

The position is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the opportunity to move to four, 10-hour days.
