Responsibilities
- Assist NDT Technicians with the setup and calibration of NDT equipment
- Travel to job sites as required to support project execution
- Support the execution of NDT procedures using methods such as visual inspection, ultrasonic testing, and magnetic particle testing
- Accurately record, document, and organize inspection results
- Maintain testing equipment and ensure related records are up to date
- Use power tools such as angle grinders and die grinders for surface preparation
- Follow all established safety protocols to maintain a safe and compliant working environment
- Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong work ethic and dependable
- Ability to follow directions and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and produce quality results
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Flexibility with changing schedules
- Willingness and ability to travel 50-75% of the time
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods (shifts may be 12+ hours)
- Good visual acuity, including near, distance, and color vision
- Ability to wear a full-face respirator and other PPE for extended periods, including maintaining a clean-shaven face as required for proper respirator seal
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Comfortable climbing and working from ladders, stairs, and scaffolding (sometimes 100+ ft)
- Comfortable working in confined spaces
- Ability to work in extreme heat and cold environments
- Ability to work around industrial hazards
