Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct In-Process operations audits and Quality System Audits of the IGT Division to assure proper practices and verifications are being used and to identify and drive improvement.
  • Support customer audits as required.
  • Coordinate the Quality Incident Process and apply Root Cause Analysis to ensure learning and prevent future incidents.
  • Collect, maintain & analyze Cost of Quality and Cost of EBIT data to help drive continuous improvement & resolve high-impact or repetitive Quality problems.
  • Initiate Quality Alerts and Technical Bulletins where applicable.
  • Cookordinate regular Quality/Management Reviews to review Division performance against goals/objectives – establish, implement, and track improvement priorities.
  • Document Development & Control: Prepare, develop, & maintain needed work instructions/procedures & data/check sheets to support the business processes.
  • Monitor Supplier Quality performance. Support the qualification of new Suppliers. Work with Key Suppliers to improve their Quality performance, where needed. Audit new & existing suppliers where needed.
  • Achieve and maintain ISO 9001 Quality Certification by assuring compliance with all applicable ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Assure consistent tracking & calibration of IGT gauges, standards, & test equipment.
  • Establish & develop effective lines of communication with IGT and MD&A personnel, supervisors/managers, and customers where applicable.
  • Provide Quality training to employees on their responsibilities for supporting the Quality System and Division business objectives.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering degree
  • Experience: 5+ years of related field experience (Power Industry – Steam/Gas Turbines)
  • Knowledge: Process knowledge in the Power Industry; detailed knowledge & proficiency in Quality Systems – ISO requirements familiarity; Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventive Action; proficiency in current PC technology & effective use of software to create forms/documents.
  • Analytical & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision – self-starter; Ability to effectively perform & contribute to a team environment; Effectively work with & accomplish multiple priorities; Effective organizational and communication skills; Customer focused; Ability to identify, analyze, & solve Quality problems with practical solutions; Provide technical guidance on Quality issues.
  • Physical Demands: Exposure to industrial and office environments; Ability to travel to field locations when required.

Salary Description 103,000 - 125,000 + Performance Bonus (DOE)
