Industrial Foreman

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise industrial crews on active construction projects
  • Coordinate daily crew activities, productivity goals, manpower needs, and equipment
  • Oversee installation of process piping systems, utility piping systems, stainless steel piping systems, carbon steel piping systems, valves and instrumentation, mechanical equipment, and pipe supports and pipe racks
  • Perform and oversee fitting, threading, grooving, welding coordination, and pipe layout and installation
  • Read and interpret plans, elevations, sections, details, PDS’s, P&ID’s, ISO drawings, and mechanical and structural drawings
  • Ensure piping systems and equipment installations meet project specifications, tolerances, and quality standards
  • Coordinate material staging, tooling, welding consumables, and equipment needed for daily operations
  • Conduct/Complete and enforce daily JSAs, safety meetings, hot work procedures, confined space procedures, and company safety policies
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas
  • Train and mentor Pipe Fitters, Welders, Operators, and Laborers
  • Communicate work expectations and production goals clearly to crews
  • Enforce company policies, attendance expectations, and professional conduct standards
  • Aid with deliveries, material coordination, project logistics, and scheduling needs
  • Support shutdown work, emergency repairs, and schedule-driven industrial projects when necessary

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of industrial construction or maintenance experience preferred
  • Previous experience as a Pipe Fitter, Welder, or lead industrial crew member preferred
  • Strong understanding of process piping systems, utility piping systems, mechanical construction practices, welding operations, and industrial project sequencing
  • Experience with stainless steel piping systems, carbon steel piping systems, valve and instrumentation installation, and pipe rack installation
  • Experience working in industrial environments including food processing facilities, agricultural processing facilities, and water/wastewater treatment facilities
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and construction drawings, P&ID’s, ISO drawings technical manuals, manufacturer installation instructions, weld symbols and weld procedures, and mechanical and structural drawings
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, RP Constructors procedures, and industrial construction safety practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with owners, subcontractors, inspectors, suppliers, and RP Constructors personnel
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software applications necessary to complete assigned duties
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Equipment operation experience preferred
