A Day in the Life
- Keep all pre-employment and annual training up to date.
- Participate in emergency response team training each month.
- Attend safety training meetings weekly.
- Standby for emergency response team.
- Participate in monthly emergency response team training.
- Participate in hearing conservation program.
- Fit test according to battalion chief’s direction.
- Conduct seasonal training, including dehydration prevention program.
- Perform monthly equipment checks.
- Document compliant medical records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the pre-hospital setting.
- Valid EMT credentials.
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
- Previous experience in industrial emergency response, and mass casualty training, is preferred but not required.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local response agencies.
Pay
$23-$28/hour commensurate with experiences, skills, and geographic location.
