Industrial Estimator

About the Role

ColonialWebb is seeking an experienced Estimator for our Industrial team. The Industrial Estimator provides leadership and support to the company's Industrial estimating department across the United States, with a focus on special projects installation. This role acts as a key company representative, working closely with the Industrial Sales Engineer to deliver cost-effective and efficient estimates for new and existing clients, ensuring a steady and profitable workflow for the Industrial Refrigeration Department.

Responsibilities

• Engage in face-to-face interactions with clients to conceptualize and coordinate solutions to their challenges, communicating effectively on both a big-picture and technical level.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to provide relevant conceptual information, ensuring detailed scopes of work are documented and executed.
• Regularly communicate pipeline activities to maintain a steady workload and foster department growth as opportunities arise.
• Provide timely communication within the department and across organizational lines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Industrial Industry principles and practices related to industrial process piping construction project estimation.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or 7 years of experience working for a refrigeration contractor on industrial systems design, or 10 years in piping estimating.
• General proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple estimates, set and balance competing priorities, with strong organization and multitasking skills.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to proactively address customer issues and concerns.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Good communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
