Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site feasibility reviews and design validation for new and existing sites
- Validate cabinet placement, routing, and infrastructure requirements prior to deployment
- Identify gaps between engineering designs and actual field conditions early in the project lifecycle
- Support development of scope of work, material requirements, and site-specific designs
- Conduct site surveys, walkdowns, and field assessments to evaluate readiness and constraints
- Collect field data, photos, and documentation to support design accuracy and project execution
- Verify routing, infrastructure placement, and constructability prior to work start
- Ensure proper documentation of all field conditions and updates
- Cook up coordination with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on scope and schedule
- Escort vendors and support site access and execution activities
- Field oversight to ensure work meets design standards and quality expectations
- Assist vendors in resolving field issues and design conflicts
- Oversee construction activities, including fiber installation, conduit placement, and cabinet deployment
- Perform quality control inspections and ensure adherence to company standards and safety requirements
- Validate completion of work against scope, including testing and closeout documentation
- Ensure all installations comply with internal standards, manufacturer specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in project meetings to align on schedules, risks, and dependencies
- Collaborate with planners, coordinators, and field technicians to ensure smooth handoffs between teams
- Provide updates on site readiness, risks, and field constraints to project managers and leadership
- Track material availability, delivery timelines, and field impacts
- Maintain accurate records of site surveys, test results, and installation documentation
- Ensure proper closeout documentation and acceptance criteria are met for each project
- Support development and enforcement of standards, including fiber installation and conduit requirements
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
Qualifications
- Experience in telecommunications, utility networks, or fiber infrastructure
- Relevant technical certifications in fiber optics, network infrastructure, or construction management
- OSHA safety certification or equivalent field safety training
Skills
- Design and field engineering expertise, including fiber, conduit, cabinets, and routing
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end project lifecycle, from survey through design, construction, and closeout
- Vendor and contractor management

- Experience with fiber installation, splicing, testing, and inspection processes
