Industrial Engineering Consultant
About the role
Guidehouse is seeking an Industrial Engineering Consultant to support the delivery of modeling and simulation solutions, recommendations for continuous improvement and operational excellence, and an implementation plan to close process gaps for various manufacturing processes. The role involves working closely with clients, project managers, engineers, data scientists, and other developers to deliver tools and strategies for optimizing industrial processes.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of modeling and simulation solutions for industrial processes
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Create an implementation plan to address process gaps
- Work closely with clients, project managers, engineers, data scientists, and other developers to deliver tools and strategies for optimizing industrial processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and optimize industrial manufacturing processes
- Conduct value stream mapping of manufacturing processes
- Analyze current and future state of industrial manufacturing processes
- Apply optimization technologies to address process constraints
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Solve complex problems related to industrial manufacturing processes
Requirements
- Active and maintained SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
- One (1) year or more of relevant experience
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes at the value stream level
- Experience with value stream mapping of manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
What would be nice to have
- Experience with discrete event simulation and supporting software (Simio, Arena, FlexSim, etc.)
