Industrial Engineer, Project Engineering

About the role

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing common contract logistics processes and driving continuous performance improvement. This engineer may also provide engineering support for new and/or expanding business implementations.

Responsibilities

• Research and analysis to optimize performance, including work measurement techniques and cost/benefit tradeoff analysis
• Development of standards for labor utilization and forecasting of facility, vehicle, staffing, and material handling equipment needs
• Conducting studies to determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow
• Recommendation of methods for maximizing the utilization of production facilities and personnel
• Documentation and communication of common processes for all distribution functions
• Communication of opportunities for improvement in the distribution network
• Facilitation of LEAN methodology and recommendation of solutions to specific business case issues
• Project management, including development and rollout of growth strategies and projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
• Minimum 5-7 years of industrial engineering experience in a supply chain (warehouse/4 walls) or similar environment
• Experience in retail distribution support and/or e-commerce type environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, including advanced MS Excel user
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS-Project, and Visio
• Knowledge of computer-assisted engineering and software design
• Knowledge of analytical software/reporting tools, such as PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.

Pay

The expected base pay for this position is $135,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location, and other objective business considerations.
