Industrial Engineer (Entry-level)
About the role
Taylor Corporation is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join the Corporate Process Improvement Engineering team. This role offers the chance to work directly with various Taylor companies to optimize production processes using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
Responsibilities
- Effectively participate in a collaborative team atmosphere, working with production leaders, peers, and stakeholders across the enterprise on continuous improvement projects.
- Work on initiatives to improve efficiencies, throughput, cost savings, and quality, aiming for ROI through the use of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
- Lead continuous improvement projects from start to finish, developing new concepts from design research to feasibility studies and implementing effective future state plans.
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma approaches to map out current state situations and justify effective future state plans, focusing on ROI.
- Apply tools such as VSM, From-to-Charts, Relationship Charts, Spaghetti diagrams, Cost Analysis, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, 5 whys, 5s, 8 deadly wastes of manufacturing, and more.
- Use statistical and quality tools such as FMEA/PFMA, Gage R&R, Control Charts, SPC, Cpk, DOE, Pareto Charts, Histograms, Regression Analysis, fishbone cause and effect diagrams (5 M’s).
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Strong statistical knowledge, particularly relevant to a manufacturing industry and quality control.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel approximately up to 30%.
- Knowledge of the printing and fulfillment industries, as well as mechanical and technical aptitude.

- The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000.
- The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or works.
