About the role
This position is responsible for direct and indirect labor and activities affecting line speed, cycle checks, scrolls, workstation assignments, change control, and line balancing. The Industrial Engineer will utilize Lean concepts to identify and eliminate waste, perform time/motion studies using MODAPTS, and assist the IE Manager and IE Supervisor with technical services to maintain efficient levels of Lean manufacturing and manning. The role also supports Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) Domains as required.
Responsibilities
- Manage direct and indirect labor activities impacting line speed, cycle checks, scrolls, and workstation assignments.
- Support change control and line balancing initiatives.
- Apply Lean concepts to identify and eliminate waste in manufacturing processes.
- Conduct time and motion studies using MODAPTS.
- Provide technical services to maintain efficient Lean manufacturing and manning levels.
- Support Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) Domains as needed.
- Interface with all levels of the organization, from shop floor to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a similar/equivalent field.
- Ability to work any shift, including overtime.
- Occasional travel required (10% - 20%).
Skills
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing Stellantis Production Way in a union environment.
- Knowledge of time study/standards, ratings, MODAPTS, and ergonomic evaluations.
- Familiarity with Chrysler Automated Manufacturing Planning System (AMPS).
- Assembly launch experience.
- Kitting and indirect labor experience.
