Industrial Engineer
About the role
As an Industrial Engineer at Spin Master, you will play a critical role in enhancing the performance of the Melissa Doug warehouse and transportation operations across the U.S. Your responsibilities include leading continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects that reduce operating costs, improve safety, and elevate service metrics.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance service levels using Lean principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
- Conduct time and motion studies (e.g., MOST) to establish and maintain engineered labor standards and planning tools.
- Lead special projects for warehousing and logistics, including peak planning, process optimization, and capital investment planning.
- Represent the logistics function in corporate initiatives such as ESG reporting and system upgrades.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and develop dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for revised warehouse processes and labor standards.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for SAP and WMS enhancements.
Requirements
- Industrial engineering experience in a warehousing environment.
- Demonstrated success in leveraging lean principles (e.g., Muda, Mura, Muri, 5S, Kaizen) to deliver continuous improvement.
- Experience developing labor standards using time studies and job analyses (e.g., MOST).
- Advanced facility with ERP/WMS systems (preferably SAP and Manhattan) and Labor Management tools.
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for performance reporting.
- Familiarity with warehouse layout optimization, material flow analysis, and indirect spend reduction.
- Knowledge of local labor laws and safety standards (NJ, CA) is an asset.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of industrial engineering experience in a warehousing environment.
Skills

Benefits
The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in California or New Jersey is $105,000 to $115,000 Per Annum. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.
