Key Responsibilities
- Apply industrial engineering methods such as capacity analysis, queuing theory, forecasting, and optimization to solve operational challenges.
- Develop and maintain analytical models to support labor planning, demand forecasting, and operational decision-making.
- Identify root causes of performance gaps and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Conduct on-site observational studies to evaluate processes, guest flow, and operational performance.
- Collect and analyze time studies, throughput data, and other operational metrics.
- Synthesize field insights with data analysis to drive practical, implementable solutions.
- Support development of labor models, staffing strategies, and scheduling analytics.
- Evaluate opportunities to improve labor utilization and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to workforce management tools and planning processes.
- Extract and analyze data using tools such as SQL, Snowflake, and Python.
- Build dashboards and reporting tools in Power BI and Excel to track KPIs and performance trends.
- Support automation efforts to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and operational leaders to implement process improvements.
- Communicate insights and recommendations through clear presentations and data storytelling.
- Support development of business cases for initiatives presented to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Decision Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering, operations analysis, or a related analytical role.
- Experience conducting field studies and analyzing operational data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into insights.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience working with large datasets.
- Experience with data querying or programming tools such as SQL or Python.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
