About the role

Job Title: Industrial Engineer
Reporting To: Manager, IE
Schedule: Onsite – Blacksburg, VA

Responsibilities

• Perform cost analysis of manufacturing data
• Aid in cycle time updates
• Support new opportunities for cost reduction and production efficiency
• Maintain best practices with a focus to prepare analysis of actual vs. budget hours
• Recommend general operating practices to improve efficiencies and participate on cross-functional teams
• Use understanding of manufacturing business processes to support capacity planning
• Work in a collaborative team-oriented environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Information Technology, or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
• 0-3 years of relative work experience to an Industrial Engineering role (preferred)
• Personal computer experience and working knowledge of database infrastructure and enterprise information systems software
• Experience with statistical and continuous improvement tools, cost improvements, removing bottlenecks, and root-cause analysis
• Skills in interacting and communicating at all organizational levels
• Analytical and project management skills
• Experience pulling data queries and performing analysis in Microsoft Excel

Pay

Salary Range: $65,000.00–$80,000.00 Annually
