Industrial Engineer

About the role

The Industrial Engineer II at Lozier is responsible for solving problems, facilitating change, innovating, and managing projects. They ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively, while also developing and maintaining processes for quality product manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Champion Lozier’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values
• Perform projects with clearly defined goals and concise progress reports
• Evaluate needs, analyze options, develop plans, and manage project implementation
• Assist support personnel with less complex technical matters
• Develop, install, and maintain optimal processes for safe manufacturing
• Create and implement standardized work procedures, including workplace layout and handling devices
• Develop and maintain equitable labor standards, and adhere to organizational procedures for delay studies and labor standards
• Maintain routing and bill of material files on corporate manufacturing data management system
• Implement measurement tools to improve productivity
• Coordinate corrections to production problems using engineering economy techniques
• Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in work and meetings
• Work well with others

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, with industrial engineering preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of applicable engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to develop plans and set priorities with a sense of urgency
• Knowledge of Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST) or similar work measurement system, and experience with LEAN manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Toyota Production System
