Industrial Engineer

About the role

The Industrial Engineer at Kaleidoscope supports operational planning and budget activities, analyzes workflows to improve efficiency, and maintains documentation in SAP.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts.
• Establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel and optimize product flow.
• Maintain Action Tracker and drive the team for closure of actions.
• Represent Operations team in handover meetings.
• Identify part/material shortages ahead to reduce the impact to factory.
• Modify SAP according to travel work and maintain documentation.
• Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
• Develop and implement optimized product flow based on studies.
• May assist facilities engineers in planning and designing facilities.
• Develop time standards for the shop floor and standard work for operations and processes.
• Utilize analytical skills for capacity analysis, tool and equipment utilization, and line balancing.
• Perform trend analysis of shop performance measures (KPI) to identify risk and opportunities for improvements.

Qualifications

• US Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace or manufacturing engineering
• 5 to 10 years working experience with ME & MRO activities in aerospace programs
