Industrial Engineer
Location: Houston
Department: DEPTEC
About the role
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for supporting the successful transition of new products, technologies, processes, and manufacturing capabilities from design into production. This role partners closely with Product Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to ensure products and manufacturing processes are ready for safe, efficient, repeatable, and scalable production. The Indsutrial Engineer supports First-of-a-Kind (FOK) builds, manufacturing readiness, product launches, process validation, capacity planning, factory readiness, and continuous improvement activities. The role applies industrialization methodologies and manufacturing engineering principles to identify and resolve launch risks, establish production requirements, validate manufacturing processes, and support the development of scalable manufacturing capabilities. The position may specialize in one of four primary areas of focus: Electrical Industrialization – Electrical product launches and manufacturing readinessMechanical Industrialization – Mechanical product launches and process validationFactory & Capacity Industrialization – Factory growth, layouts, automation, and capacity planningSupply Chain & Vertical Integration Industrialization – Supply chain readiness and manufacturing strategy The Industrialization Engineer is responsible for delivering assigned industrialization activities on schedule and escalating risks that could impact product, process, material, capacity, or manufacturing readiness.
