About the role
We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our Product Development team at our Elgin, IL facility. Our goal is to be a trusted advisor to our customers and a go-to source for industrial connectivity solutions. We collaborate directly with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Distribution partners for both standard products and custom-designed solutions.
Responsibilities
- The development & industrialization of all necessary manufacturing processes within assigned projects, including the planning, procurement, and implementation of required manufacturing resources (machines, fixtures, tools).
- The calculation of Manufacturing costs, injection molding, assembly, etc.
- Create process flow charts and production layouts for NPIC.
- Create production related views in SAP (routing, BOM, equipment, work center, calculation).
- Collaborate with local production Industrial Engineers to analyze capacity impacts of NPI.
- Assessment/estimation of the investment costs.
- Create specifications for required production equipment.
- Participate in the evaluation of concept studies and potential projects for the project and location decision.
- Push further development of the product development process as well as the necessary methods and standards.
- Proactively communicate with employees, supervisors, and other departments.
- Participate in the active transfer of knowledge in the global operational environment and at interfaces.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or comparable specialized training preferred.
- 5+ years engineering work experience in a related industry, including at least 2 years of experience with injection molding product methodology.
- Computer skills: Windows based applications, AutoCAD, SAP experience preferred.
- Excellent written, oral, and communication skills.
- Demonstrate an understanding of important QC principles.
- Open to some travel (including International).
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with project management methodologies.
- Good understanding of quality control principles.
- Proficiency in Windows based applications and AutoCAD.
- Experience with SAP.

- Competitive base salary: $70,000 - $100,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change dependent on physical location).
