Key Responsibilities
- Systematic Layout Planning (SLP): Design comprehensive plant floor layouts for new production lines and optimize existing footprints to support high-volume manufacturing.
- Flow Optimization: Analyze material handling paths and WIP (Work-In-Process) buffers to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce non-value-added time.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Quality, and Facilities teams to ensure layouts meet production rates and create room for future growth.
- Project Management: Lead the layout changes, coordinating with vendors and internal contractors to ensure minimal disruption to active production.
- Production Collaboration: Collaborate with production employees and management to ensure implemented projects are successful.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- 1 to 5 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment (internship/co-op experience considered for exceptional junior candidates).
- Strong command of time studies, value stream mapping, and statistical analysis.
