About the role
The role is located at Collins Aerospace's Civil Space Manufacturing team in Windsor Locks, CT.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and production layouts for space hardware assembly and test
- Perform time studies, capacity analysis, and throughput modeling to identify opportunities for productivity improvement
- Lead waste-reduction and continuous-improvement initiatives
- Analyze nonconformances and support root-cause and corrective-action activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program Management
- Use digital manufacturing tools to drive data-based decision making
- Utilize the CORE methodology to drive operational excellence, acting as the CORE domain focal for Civil Space in WLOX
Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline preferred
- Experience working in a production or assembly environment
- Analytical skills with proficiency in process modeling, data analysis, and problem-solving tools
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous-improvement methodologies
- Communication and collaboration skills

Pay
The salary range for this role is $86,800 - $165,200.
