About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Industrial Engineer with experience working in a manufacturing environment to join our team. As an Industrial Engineer in this position, you will apply engineering and data-driven techniques to optimize workflows, equipment layouts, and resource utilization across the manufacturing environment. This role supports factory planning, layout design, time studies, and process mapping to drive efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics. The Industrial Engineer also supports capital planning, lean initiatives, and strategic decisions related to capacity and future growth. Collaboration across operations, quality, facilities, and engineering is essential to ensure sustainable and scalable manufacturing systems.
This is a first shift position based in Hudson, NH, supporting other sites across the continental US. Travel may be as much as 15%.
Responsibilities
- Performing time studies, capacity analysis, and process mapping to support operational efficiency.
- Designing factory layouts and equipment placement for optimal material flow and productivity.
- Leading and supporting operational excellence initiatives aligned with lean manufacturing principles to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing requirements for equipment installations with facilities teams.
- Supporting equipment relocation and production transitions between manufacturing sites.
- Supporting capital projects and procurement for facility upgrades and new equipment.
- Maintaining layout drawings and documentation to reflect factory changes.
- Training and supporting production teams on process improvements and best practices.
- Representing industrial engineering in reviews, audits, and customer visits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline such as industrial engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in an industrial engineering role.
- Experience developing capacity models using ProModel or Simio.
- Experience using AutoCAD for optimizing floor layouts.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Strong technical aptitude, communication skills, and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Strong Six Sigma problem-solving capabilities (DMAIC).
- Ability to obtain security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Lean Manufacturing experience (green belt or higher).
- Experience managing equipment relocations.
- Data collection and analysis experience.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $79,365 - $134,921. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
Schedule
This is a first shift position working a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
