Industrial Engineer
About the role
The Industrial Engineer supports Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK, focusing on workforce efficiency, effectiveness, and maintenance optimization for the Civil Engineering (CE) Services contract.
Responsibilities

Leads team in performing facility and infrastructure inventories and assessments.

Develops knowledge of Sustainment Managements Systems (SMS) used by the government to track equipment conditions such as Builder, Paver, TRIRIGA (NexGen), and Roofer.

Ensures SMS database program information in support of Maintenance Master Plan (MMP) is properly captured with equipment assessment information gathered by respective technicians.

Provides equipment and life cycle costing data necessary for programming outyear maintenance and repair requirements.

Understands the basics of Predictive, Preventive, and Reliability Centered Maintenance principles.

Leverages data analysis tools to help develop sub activity requirements and solutions.

Analyzes all maintenance responses to inform future sustainment and repair actions based on factors such as mission risk, maintenance and sustainability, and system performance.

Integrates preventive maintenance resource investments into the life cycle return on investment and risk evaluations.

Leverages data analysis tools (e.g. SMS Builder) to help develop sub activity requirements and solutions.

Documents, reports, and provides optimization plans for all systems annually such as chilled water, heating water, steam, and compressed air which provides for measurability of overall goals and trend improvements.

Creates reports and describes results to company and government decision makers.

Prepares technical reports applying industry standards, safety codes, and regulatory requirements as needed to support results of program analysis.

Provides technical support for planning and designing projects impacting existing facilities and infrastructure.

Performs maintainability, compatibility, and operability review of renovation and alteration designs for existing facilities and infrastructure at 35%, 65%, and 95%.

Participates in pre-final and/or final inspections for construction projects nearing completion.

Becomes familiar with the new equipment and identifies operation and maintenance concerns which should be addressed prior to finalization of the project/construction.

Attends Operations & Maintenance training for completed constructions.

Identifies technical challenges and defines requirements for solutions.

Performs time and motion studies.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering with 5 years’ experience supporting designing, analyzing, and optimizing facility and infrastructure equipment operations.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in their field of expertise with minimum of 2 of those years in facility and equipment condition assessments.

Excellent written and oral communication skills to express ideas and ability to communicate at all levels in a diverse organization.

Strong computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Products.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Current state driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of valid insurance.

Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses, IDs, and certifications.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
-
Previous experience working on a military installation within an Industrial Engineering organization.
-
Experience working within a Public Works or Civil Engineering organization.
