Main Responsibilities
- Collaborates with senior management and subject matter experts to design cost-effective manufacturing layouts and building ergonomics for new product lines.
- Designs, redesigns, or enhances work areas and layouts to improve repetitive motions.
- Reduce or eliminate inefficient processes to maximize operational effectiveness for lines including but not limited to: electro-plating, machine grinding, bushing installation, industrial painting, and assembly.
- Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods, and trends and developments in technology and equipment; applies this knowledge to maintain the organization's competitive edge.
- Identifies and assesses various problems and departures from established manufacturing standards and best practices; researches and recommends solutions, while maintaining AS9100, NADCAP, and all regulatory requirements.
- Implements methods and modifications to reduce production costs.
- Studies and improves the manufacturing process by monitoring quality, cycle times and methods of operations.
- Conducts oneself in a professional manner and adheres to all company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
- Preference in the aerospace industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering required.
- Possess a solid foundation in manufacturing engineering practices and processes.
- Computer software literacy. (Office, Microsoft Project).
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems a plus.
