Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain production machines and plant facility's electrical equipment.
  • Plan, layout, install and repair a wide variety of complex electrical equipment including automatic machine and process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls, tape actuated controls and other equipment involving tube or transistor circuits.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and plant facilities including air compressors, nitrogen lines, and lighting systems.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions including building of carts and layout boards without prints.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and materials handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit, using tools such as hacksaw, pipe threader, and conduit bender.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Work required overtime and flexible work schedule.
  • Drive a Company service truck and perform vehicle maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in maintenance and upkeep of yard, plant and office.
  • Maintain daily reports as required by DOT and Company regulations.
  • Operate forklift and overhead crane as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
  • Four (4) years of formal technical training preferred.
  • Two (2) years of journeyman experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and fixed from blueprints, schematics and sketches or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Qualifications

  • Sufficient level of education to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature relating to products and vehicles.
  • Excellent driving skills and ability to maintain satisfactory customer and public relations in performance of duties.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Federal, state, and local electrical codes, electrical theory, motor control.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics.
  • Ability to trouble shoot electrical problems.
  • Skilled in pipe bending.

Pay

The hourly range for this role is between $28.00 - $38.00. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule required.
