Industrial Electrician Job

Activities

• Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, calibrates and tests electrical apparatus, components, equipment and machinery.
• Makes periodic preventative maintenance inspections of all metering control instruments, diagnosing existing or potential trouble; cleans, lubricates, calibrates and adjusts as conditions indicate.
• Reads and interprets wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings and specifications in making installations or performing major repair work.
• Cooperates with and assists other team members; follow directions; completes work timely and in a professional manner.
• Maintain compliance with current codes.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

Qualifications/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required. Will consider 10+ years of experience, in lieu.
• Vocational training or education, preferred.
• Journeyman’s license is a plus.
• 3+ years general industrial electrical and motor control experience, required. Will consider 5+ years of commercial electrical experience, in lieu.
