Industrial Electrician - Blue Rapids, KS
Troubleshooting and Repair
You will troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and machinery internal and external to the plant.
Maintenance and Inspection
You will inspect equipment for potential downtime causes and install new equipment. You will record maintenance and repairs in a computerized maintenance management system (MP2 / SAP) and complete reports and work orders on time to keep accurate records.
Team Collaboration
You will collaborate with operations to identify and prioritize maintenance needs, adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including performing proper lockout/tag out procedures, and actively participate in the safety program. You will clean up all areas of responsibility to maintain a safe work environment.
Additional Duties
You will assist mechanics or production operators as needed, assist Process Controls Engineers and Maintenance Technicians as needed, and follow any other job-related instructions and perform any other job-related duties requested by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrical license or certification or an Associate degree in Electrical Maintenance
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70 standards
- Three (3) or more years of experience as an Industrial Electrician
- Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, PLC’s, A/C and D/C motors, motor controllers and drives
- Experience working with robotics
- Experience working with 480 & 4160 volt systems

- Electrical maintenance experience in a commercial, industrial or manufacturing environment
- Mechanical trouble shooting skills
- Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
