Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems, malfunctions, and breakdowns in machinery and equipment.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems and machinery to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other team members to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations, including wearing protective equipment and maintaining a clean work area.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to perform installation and repairs.
- Utilize PLC programming for automation and control of machinery.
- Provide training and guidance to junior electricians and other maintenance staff.
- Respond to emergencies promptly and resolve issues to minimize production downtime.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with industrial, mechanic, maintenance, diesel, automotive, PLC, and electrician skills.
- Valid electrician license or certification.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures.
- Proficient in the use of electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
- Proficient in PLC programming.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects as needed.
- Willingness to work overtime and on-call as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in industrial electrical systems will be a plus.
