About the role
Chapel Electric is seeking an Industrial Electrician with an ISA Instrumentation Certification. This position is full-time, non-exempt, and located in Dayton, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety.
- Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Repair and install electrical devices such as receptacles, light fixtures, light switches, lighting ballasts, and motors.
- Assist in keeping building common and electrical spaces neat, orderly, and safe.
- Accomplish work in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and national and local codes; update as-built drawings as necessary.
- Attend Tool Box safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency.
- Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification.
- Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Previous electrical experience.
- ISA Instrumentation Certification.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customers and employees.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to walk; use fingers and hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
- Frequently required to stand.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to move/lift heavy objects, climb vertical ladders, work at heights, and use common hand and power tools.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly required to commute to field locations and various job sites; must be able to navigate around job site locations.
Work Environment
- Regularly work outdoors and be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical and electrical parts; high, precarious places; dust, fumes, or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extended exposure to sunlight; cold and heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Pay
$37.25 per hour.
