Industrial Electrician

About the role

Location: Louisville, Kentucky, USA | Work Model: Onsite

The Industrial Electrician is a key member of the Maintenance team at the Louisville, KY site, supporting the success of the Catalyst Business Unit. The main responsibility of the Industrial Electrician Person (Electrical/Instrumentation) is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the production systems and equipment by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical and instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, programming, and/or replacing plant instrumentation and controls equipment.
• Reading, understanding, and interpreting diagrams, blueprints, schematics, part lists, and other written instructions.
• Developing a materials list for projects, including tools, equipment, and parts.
• Using manlifts, forklifts, and any other related equipment needed to perform daily duties.
• Daily use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, SAP, PLC GE Machine Addition, and Simplicity programs.
• Following Confined Space Entry, Lock Out/Tag Out, Hot Work, Fork Truck, Arc Flash, PPE, and other related safety programs.
• Participating in daily performance dialogue meetings and any other required team meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Ensuring proper functioning of plant instrumentation and controls equipment, which is essential for the overall success of the production process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and post‑secondary trade school or technical college education.
• Three or more years of industrial Electrical/Instrumentation experience.
• Skill in Microsoft Office, Outlook, & SAP.
• Siemens Simatic Batch PCS7 experience is a plus.
