About the role
The Manufacturing Plant Electrician (overnight) performs quick analysis, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical and electronic components associated with an industrial environment. Programming and operational use of Allen-Bradley, Direct Logic PLCs, AC/DC variable speed drives, and servo drives.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations for the maintenance department.
- Diagnoses and isolates production equipment malfunctions using schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and associated test equipment.
- Works on combustion furnaces, including troubleshooting differential pressure transmitters, thermocouples, RTDs, safety interlocks, and burners.
- Constructs new and modifies existing installations as per the NEC.
- Installs, calibrates, and repairs various instruments, including pressure, flow, level, temperature, and position transducers.
- Performs preventative maintenance and repairs when production equipment is down.
- Affords assistance to other departments through planning and technical assistance.
- Stays current on city and state electrical codes.

Requirements
- Education: high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Field of Study Preferred: N/A
- Required Work Experience: Five years of industrial work experience
- Travel Requirements: N/A
Qualifications
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

- Knowledge of electrical systems and components

$35.85/hour, increase at 90 and 180 days.
