About the role
This position is responsible for conducting installation, maintenance, preventive/predictive maintenance, setup, troubleshooting, and repair of mill machinery. The technician will also provide electrical support for various systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, hot oil systems, pumps, fans, and conveyors.
Responsibilities
- Conduct installation, maintenance, preventive/predictive maintenance, setup, troubleshooting, and repair of mill machinery
- Provide electrical support for hydraulics, pneumatics, hot oil systems, pumps, fans, and conveyors
- Replace motors (low/high voltage), motor starters, sensors, and variable frequency drives
- Troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLCs, associated I/O, and control networks
- Maintain mill power distribution (480V–13.8kV)
- Document work in the CMMS
- Promote safe work practices (LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, etc.)
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Significant industrial manufacturing maintenance experience required
- Demonstrated electrical and technical aptitude
- Allen Bradley PLC knowledge
- Prior diagnostic, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance experience
- Experience with AC motor control (including drives)
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
Qualifications
- Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders
- Perform tasks involving bending, stooping, and crouching for equipment inspection and maintenance
- Lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds of force occasionally or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently
- Conduct physical tasks requiring lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects
- Stand and walk for extended periods in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels, and varying temperatures
Skills
- Allen Bradley PLC knowledge
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- AC motor control (including drives)

Pay
Base compensation: $36.83–$44.65/hour, depending on experience, plus profit/gain share program
Schedule
May include working irregular hours, such as nights, weekends, and holidays, and being on call for emergencies
