Industrial Designer (Intermediate Level)

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a talented Industrial Designer to join our award-winning enterprise design team. This role is designed as 'Hybrid' with a requirement that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and execute strategic design solutions that optimize the function, ergonomics, value, and appearance of physical products and systems.
• Contribute to design across three key areas: enhancements to existing products, new physical product designs, and strategic design language initiatives that define our portfolio.
• Work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment, partnering with cross-functional teams including engineering, human factors, marketing, and design partners to translate concepts into compelling solutions that power the IT infrastructure of the world's most successful companies.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency with both 2D and 3D CAD software (Creo preferred) and visualization tools (KeyShot).
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or equivalent discipline.
• 2-4 years of professional design experience.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Solid understanding of design principles, theories, and manufacturing methods.
• Demonstrated ability in form ideation, sketching, prototyping, and model development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A portfolio of work required – candidates must provide a link to professional design portfolio.

Qualifications

• Understanding of and experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
• Experience collaborating with international and distributed teams.
• Knowledge of AI design tools and their applications in the design process.
