Industrial Design Intern

Specific Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop design concepts to meet project requirements under guidance from mentor(s).
• Aid higher-level designers with basic design tasks.
• Develop basic design skills, including sketching, CAD modeling, understanding of CMF, and manufacturing techniques.
• Create visual representations of design ideas through sketching or 3D modeling.
• Prepare documents to document the design intent of each product.
• Prioritize projects to align with project goals.
• Collaborate with New Product Development team members.
• Identify trends and opportunities in the marketplace.

Job Qualification Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program.
• Good knowledge of Sketchbook Pro, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Basic experience using SolidWorks and/or Keyshot.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Basic creative and analytic skills through traditional sketching, drawing, or computerized drawing.
• Good communications skills, verbal and written.
• Strong team focus and ability to work with others.
• Ability to handle confidential information and prioritize tasks.
• Proactive to drive communication and maintain organization.
