We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Center Rewire Technician to support a medium-term project focused on cooling system components within a data center environment. This role involves performing standardized electrical wire swaps on prefabricated, non-energized (not live) cooling units.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical wire swaps and rewiring on prefabricated cooling system components.
- Follow established procedures to ensure consistency and quality across a high volume of devices.
- Safely handle and work on equipment that is not powered or energized.
- Maintain detailed logs of all work performed, including device identification, date/time stamps, and scope completed.
- Replicate the same scope of work across multiple units with minimal supervision.
- Ensure all work meets project standards, safety guidelines, and quality expectations.
- Coordinate with project leads to report progress, issues, or discrepancies.
Requirements
- Proven experience with basic electrical work, low-voltage wiring, or similar hands-on technical tasks.
- Ability to follow repeatable processes with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet project timelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly in documentation and logging.
- Must provide own tools required for electrical rewiring tasks.
- Ability to work independently in a structured data center environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a data center or on mechanical/cooling systems.
- Familiarity with structured documentation or asset tracking systems.
- Basic understanding of data center infrastructure and best practices.
Work Environment
- Data center setting with a focus on mechanical/cooling equipment.
- Work performed on non-live systems (no energized electrical work required).
- Repetitive, task-based work across a large quantity of devices.
