About the role

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of controls systems in our industrial facilities. You will install, maintain, repair controls, electrical equipment, mechanical systems, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. This role impacts the reliability and performance of plant equipment, ensuring they meet the highest safety and quality standards. You will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals to support the production process and contribute to the overall success of our operations.

Schedule

Night shift: 2/2/3 (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM). Training schedule may vary.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, including troubleshooting malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance, calibrating equipment, and ensuring proper operation of automated machinery by working with sensors, actuators, pneumatic systems, controllers, and related components.
  • Utilize knowledge of PLC programming and electrical schematics to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers to implement system upgrades or modifications.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they cause disruptions.
  • Troubleshoot plant equipment problems and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Controls Industrial Maintenance Technician.
  • Experience working on PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, HMIs).
  • Experience working in a multi-craft industrial manufacturing or similar environment as a control technician, electrician, or mechanic.

Qualifications

  • Other industrial maintenance backgrounds will be considered.
  • Knowledge of welding, fabrication, troubleshooting, pipe fitting, and installation is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use CMMS to perform PMs and report on plant issues.
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • PLC trainings and/or certifications are a plus.
  • Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or related field is a plus.
  • Preferred: ten years of experience as a Controls Industrial Maintenance Technician.
