Industrial Controls Technician
About the role
As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for supporting, creating, integration, troubleshooting and improving the controls systems within the manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Shift Hours: 8-hour shifts
- 2nd Shift: 2 pm to 10:30 pm
- 3rd Shift: 10 pm to 6:30 am
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and emergency events
- Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- 2 + years (minimum) experience in Controls Programming and Industrial Controls Technology or equivalent education in a related field/industry
Qualifications
- Knowledge and practical application with the following technology areas: PLC’s, HMI’s, process instrumentation, machine control systems, VFD’s, servo drives, robotics, power distribution (
- Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
Skills
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist over surfaces, climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms, wear protective clothing and equipment, work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions, work with allergens that might be present in a food environment, work in a tobacco free environment

Pay
$37.50 per hour to start
$39.25 per hour after completion of required training (Tech 2)
Schedule
Shift differential - Additional $1.00 per hour for 2nd and 3rd shift

- READING and updating electrical and control schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams
- PROVIDING technical support/skills for equipment troubleshooting and controls/equipment modifications
- UNDERSTANDING, INITIATING, and PARTICIPATING in Root Cause Analysis (Why, Why)
