About the role

Join our Production team as an Industrial Control Panel Builder, where you will wire and build complex customized industrial control panels. This role requires completing projects with a high degree of quality while meeting project deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Attend kickoff meetings with the Engineering team and customers to understand project requirements.
  • Build and wire complex industrial control panels from start to finish by following and interpreting electrical schematics within allotted project hours and by due date.
  • Layout, drill, punch, tap, and mount components in sheet metal enclosures.
  • Route and bundle wires and cables neatly according to established electrical standards.
  • Ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot or wire turnkey automation equipment in-house or at customer locations.
  • Identify and resolve concerns with schematics and drawings that may impact overall quality and functioning of completed projects.
  • Escalate concerns or issues related to project timeline, quality, etc., to the Account Lead.
  • Continuously improve the quality of work and personal productivity.
  • Follow and comply with all safety protocols, work regulations, and 6S guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean work area and promptly remove debris.
  • Maintain reliable and predictable attendance.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Outlook.
  • At least 2 years of experience in building and wiring custom industrial control panels.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with Electrical Codes and UL standards.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel between work locations and customer sites.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role operates in a light industrial environment with exposure to moderate noise. Daily tasks involve:

  • Use of basic power tools, hand tools, and repetitive hand motion for manipulating electrical wires.
  • Sitting, standing, and bending at the waist for up to 3 consecutive hours.
  • Reaching above shoulder height for extended periods.
  • Exposure to fumes and airborne particles.
  • Climbing stairs and moving freely between aisles of parts, equipment, and shelving units.
  • Lifting or carrying at least 40 pounds.

Schedule

Full-time, 1st shift available (Monday - Friday).
