About the role
The Industrial Automation & Reliability Technician position at Stoughton/STI Holdings is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting industrial automation systems. This role requires a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with experience in working with PLCs, sensors, and programmable controllers.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair issues with industrial automation systems, including PLCs, sensors, and programmable controllers.
- Perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Document findings and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial automation and reliability.
- Proficiency in using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and programmable controllers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Experience with industrial automation systems, including PLCs, sensors, and programmable controllers.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic and S7.
- Understanding of industrial networking protocols like Profibus and Modbus.
- Experience with safety standards and certifications (e.g., OSHA).
